blue skies, beautiful surroundings, excellent recreational opportunities and flourishing economic community are the first things many people notice about our city. However, Lone Tree is much more: it is the smaller neighbor city of Highlands Ranch, which is not currently an incorporated as a city. The city’s motto, “It’s a great day to be in Lone Tree,” encompasses the overall sense of pride community members share with the city and with one another. Residents and visitors of all ages enjoy a diverse range of activities and facilities including the Summer Concert Series, the Library, an extensive trail network and first-rate shopping as well as the PGA golf course the South Suburban Recreation District owns and operates (which includes a small hotel).
Newcomers will find extensive growth as the City has annexed new land to the south and east for both residential and commercial development, around both Sky Ridge Medical Center and the Charles Schwabb campus. Additional lands were also dedicated to open space.
