The little cow town of Parker, previously known as “twenty mile”, south and east of Denver on the Smoky Hill Stage Road, has grown into a wonderful community. The town now occupies most of north eastern Douglas County. Parker strives to maintain the western flare and hosts Parker Days every summer, a great local festival and is the kind of small town fair one might find on the Village Green in New England.
Homes in the town include suburban tract homes as well as quite a few horse properties and many acreage can be acquired for less than $300,000. There are new homes being built in subdivisions all over town which a Realtor can assist you with dealing with the builder.
Schools serving Parker are the Douglas County Public School District and the city is accessed by the local Regional Transportation District (RTD) with bus service. Real estate property listings will range in price from just under $200,000 to well over a million. Additionally, large ranches, horse properties, and acreages are still available.
